Our mission at the Frozen Dessert Center is to share and advance expert knowledge related to frozen dessert research and production

 

The Frozen Dessert Center is the foremost source of expertise related to frozen dessert research and manufacture.

We offer a range of services such as microstructural analysis and formula development support for both large and small scale producers. The FDC can also assist in planning and running small scale product trials on modern equipment housed within Babcock Hall at UW-Madison.

Along with these services, we offer short courses on ice cream manufacture and hold a yearly conference. In doing this, we are able to continue sharing and building upon our understanding of frozen desserts.
